State insurance head Sevigny appointed to 2nd term
May 23, 2008
CONCORD Insurance Commissioner Roger Sevigny was appointed to a second, five-year term this week after the Executive Council approved his nomination by Gov. John Lynch.
Sevigny was first appointed in June 2003 by Gov. Craig Benson to the post that now pays $98,923.
Sevigny has worked closely with Lynch on development of his HealthFirst program, which is meant to provide small business with a more affordable employee health insurance option.
